SUPERFUN!™ Awesome Overdive

SUPERFUN!™ Awesome Overdrive is our latest pedal and the first in a new series. This pedal is in the first phase of production now. We will post some some sound clips soon. 

We originally designed the first version of what would become the SUPERFUN!™ Awesome Overdrive around the same time as Daylight and Nightlight, but it was not quite ready for prime time.

During that period, from about 2021 to today, we really embraced the wave of virtual amp pedal innovations that were coming to market. We own them all... IK's Tonex, all of UA's pedals, all of Line 6's Helix products, BOSS' IR pedals, Strymon's Iridium, Walrus' ACS1, Neural DSP's Quad Cortex... you name it, we bought it... and we love it.

When it was time to revisit the original design, we tested and tweaked the design based on how it interacted with these amazing amp-pedal innovations.

During that period, we recorded about 50 songs with the pedal. We performed live about 100 times. We even challenged ourselves to build a new rig every time we played out, with different combinations of amp pedals and wet effects - with the only constant in the chain being SUPERFUN!™ Awesome Overdrive.

Lastly, we wanted to make a full-spectrum pedal, to be enjoyed by both guitarists and bassists. It sounds killer on bass.

That's the origin story of SUPERFUN!™ Awesome Overdrive. We hope you like it as much as we do.

The controls are simple, just three knobs:

• Level: Level controls the volume of the output.
• Tone: Tone controls the darkness/brightness of the tone.
• Drive: Drive controls the amount of overdrive/distortion.

You will notice the tone knob sweep is musical and usable through the entire range. As you back off the guitar’s volume pot, the pedal cleans up. At higher gain settings the sound does not futz out. Descriptions are subjective, so listen to the audio clips to see if it is right for you.
